Sometimes you get to work on a brand that you truly connect with, one that’s innovative and has set the bar so high in terms of product design that it makes your job easy — this was one of those times. I worked on the Radius website redesign during my time with Modus Agency when we were tasked with redefining the online brand experience of their marketing and e-commerce site from the ground up. As the design lead I worked in tight collaboration with UX, content strategy, and development to ensure the visual story and brand ethos — making products and everyday life better through design — was consistent throughout the customer experience. This was a fully collaborative “all hands on deck” project and while my main role was visual design lead, I contributed to just about every stage of the process from competitive research, concept pitch, and presentations to asset deliverables, specs for development, and QA until launch day. This was one of the most gratifying projects I’ve worked on in my career as a designer for many reasons but at the top of that list would have to be our small but mighty team, and we earned a couple Communicator and w3 Awards for the redesign to boot, so that was pretty sweet.
